Hi, my name is Defne Mehmetzade and I’m from Istanbul, Turkey. I am currently studying at Bayes Business School, City University of London (formerly known as Cass Business School). I am taking a management course this year which I really enjoy, so next year I am hoping to study management in more detail by taking the brand management course.

During high school, I had an internship in Grundig Turkey, which is a German electronics company. As well as improving my social skills, Grundig also provided me with a background knowledge of marketing before university.

As an 18 year old studying in London, I must say that I had a hectic time while trying to adapt to a new city and manage everything on my own. I wanted to share my own journey of moving to a new place to new students or young adults who are also moving to another country, so I joined the nedlon team. In order to support these people, I believe that we will work hard enough to keep them away from stress and exhaustion. I chose The Ned|Lon, why wouldn’t you?
